Novateca is a program funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in cooperation with USAID and Microsoft and administered by IREX Moldova. Part of the Global Development Program (Global Libraries), Novateca helps libraries provide free access to computers, Internet and trainings and enables librarians and local public authorities to better address community needs.

With the support of international national and local partners from public, private and non-profit sectors, libraries from the network create and offer new services in educational, social, cultural and economic areas, targeted and tailored to community needs, thus transforming into vibrant community centers and ensuring better quality of life.
